Minnesota is among the top states currently seeing Minnesota is among the top states currently seeing rapid changes to our climate and scientists know that climate change driven by fossil fuels is impacting our environment, infrastructure, and our health. Yesterday, with the help of Plymouth and Medicine Lake residents, we passed the 100% clean energy by 2040 bill. This legislation would require that the state’s utilities use entirely carbon-free sources for electricity production by 2040. Thank you for your advocacy and compassion for a green, clean future for all. 🌎💚 #mnleg

#ThrowBackThursday to highlight this incredibly jo #ThrowBackThursday to highlight this incredibly joyful day when we broke ground on the North Metro North Metro Public Safety Training facility expansion last year. These bipartisan investments I supported and we passed at the #mnleg for the facility will fund simulation training, de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques, and additional classroom space for county, state, and federal law enforcement. Plymouth and Medicine Lake residents deserve to feel safe in their communities; ensuring our officers have the training tools available to keep our neighborhoods safe is critically important. I'm excited for construction to finish hopefully by the end of this year. Officials hope to open the new facility in early 2023. 🎉

Although it stalled in the final days of session, I'm committed to getting this bipartisan legislation off the ground. Legislators have an obligation to deliver on meeting the needs of their constituents and communities- not the highest bidder who can afford to ‘pay to play’ in our shared democracy. #mnleg

As our climate changes and we experience more extreme weather, I'm committed to protecting our seasons and the quality of our environment so our people and planet can thrive. Working as a member of the House Climate Action Caucus, I've appreciated the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and scientists, exploring bold solutions that slow down the effects of climate change to get us all on the path to cleaner and greener state.
